Hi my name is Simone Parkinson and I am delighted to have commenced as an Early Childhood Teacher, here at Swinburne Childrens Centre Croydon. My journey into Early childhood started many years ago, back in 2001. Throughout this time, I have taken on many roles, such as Inclusion support, qualified assistant, lead educator, to eventually completing my Bachelor of Teaching back in 2012. I am extremely passionate about early childhood education. This is a very important time for a child, as it will lay the foundations for their success later in life. I believe that children are capable and competent learners when give the opportunities to explore their interests in a warm and exciting environment. I believe for a child to grow and reach their full potential, it is vital to recognise the child for who they are. We should celebrate the diverse qualities and uniqueness that each individual child brings to the centre.

In my personal time, I love spending it with my husband and two little children, Aliya who is nearly 4 and Archie who is nearly 2. As a family we love going for walks, going on holidays or just going out spending some quality time together. Becoming a mother has definitely given me a deeper level of insight and understanding into children’s development and individual needs. I guarantee that while your children are with me, I will treat them like my own.

Please, my ‘door’ is always open to anyone that would like to come and have a chat. I look forward to working with you and your precious children.
