Pre-Kinder Room – Croydon

The most important goal of our program is to help children become enthusiastic learners.  This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Our Pre-Kinder program is designed to help the children become independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners.

We use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide our program planning. The EYLF, developed by the Council of Australian Governments, has an overall goal “to extend and enrich children’s learning from birth to five years, so that all children have the best start in life to create a better future for themselves and for the nation.”

We believe that children learn best through active exploration of their environment. This is why we place a strong emphasis on providing a safe and caring environment in which the children have the opportunity to explore, experiment, discover and grow.

Embedded Community Engagement:

AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) students from Swinburne University have the opportunity to participate in creating and maintaining our community garden. This is an ongoing project that promotes diversity, community involvement, sustainability and a sense of belonging for children and AMEP students.
