My name is Liz Kennedy, and I am delighted to start in my new role for 2018 as Children’s Services Manager across Swinburne Children’s Centres. I joined the Swinburne team as a Certificate III trained educator nine years ago, and what an enjoyable journey it has been thus far! I have been very fortunate to have undertaken an array of professional roles throughout this time and I have met and worked in partnership with many wonderful educators and families.
Continuous growth is important to me, throughout the years Swinburne has supported and encouraged me to pursue my educational goals. In 2014 I graduated with honours from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I was then given the opportunity to pursue my passion as a Kindergarten Teacher – a role which filled my heart each and every day.
Throughout the years my passion for providing children with quality learning experiences and in supporting them to be all that they can be has always remained consistent. I strive to create a warm, safe and secure environment where children are able to develop and learn in their own way and in their own time– an environment which fosters confidence in themselves and their abilities – a place where they belong.
